Count Gangore
One day editor of The Tokyo Journal, Chris Worfolk, decided
to sit down and write a good bit of old time fiction. With
his hobbies including Warhammer, a table top fantasy battle
game he knew what to write about, and spun out the tale of
Count Gangore and his wacky adventures.
What was it published?
Started in issue 25, finished in issue 35.
Extract - part 5
The giant now towered over count Gangore. He let out a huge
roar and reached down towards the count. The count drew out
his large Dwarf sword, hellstrum. “How dare you disturb
the empire of man!” He screamed and sent his sword.
The giant made a small grunt. The sword has punctured the
giant’s skin but had gone no further. The giant roared
again and lifted up his foot to stamp on count Gangore. All
fighting had now ceased to watch what would happen. The giant
had his foot raised and boom! The cannon had left flow with
a huge black cannon ball hitting the giant in the chest and
knocking him to the ground.
A huge cheer came up from the Empire soldiers and they charged
into the Orks and cut them down like a farmer reaping in his
crop. Orks fled towards the woods across the battlefield,
harried by the spearmen and the one remaining Marksman from
the Pistolers regiment.
The count stared across the battlefield. He was very pleased
with himself. An ork army, which outnumbered his army, has
a great shaman and a giant but his force had defeated it.
Borris was sitting on the ground chuckling. “The hell
blaster will destroy them next time sire. There’s no
way we can lose.”
